I switched the slideshows to differnt sides primarily to match the header idea. I think it looks a lot better, cleaner lines. May need to position it all a little bit to the right so there is more space on the left of view and less on right.

An attempt at making a simplistic header/nav. Looks slightly better but not really.
This is the base idea to have a slideshow of the artist's work and a minimalist text-based navigation for the index site. I was trying to work in a sort of "view more/view images button due to user difficulties of previous design but I think "images" is self explanatory, as it was before.
Ultimately decided to scrap previous idea. The large photo in the center is just distracting and actually serves no real purpose. It was an attempt to play with a layered positioning using negative margin but this does not really work.

This is the final draft of the index.
"Less is more" and "keep it simple".
I'm still trying to think up a decent tagline though.
This was the 3rd draft of the index of this site. The idea was a minimalist single page layout. I attempted to layout information in a simple way. I also added a gradiant to the header and nav. It has since been recycled and edited on this site as a sort of "map" for easy reference.
This is the technically 2nd draft of this site's index. I wanted to use the color coral, or a color similar to it. No real styling attempted too much on this. It just had a nav bar and header with simple links. I decided to keep this drafts nav and header for the internal pages.
